Apple 's latest $110 billion stock buyback authorization is the granddaddy of them all — the biggest in corporate history. Assuming an average annual $100 billion buyback by the Club name going forward, we wanted to look at just how much that is worth to shareholders. With more records set for its installed base of active devices and services in Q2, Apple stock rose nearly 6% on Friday, the session following Thursday evening's release. The net cash position is important because Apple aims to be net cash neutral over time. At a valuation of 28 times earnings, we arrive at a share price of about $182 each, right around where it was trading Wednesday.

CNN —The New York City Council approved a bill Thursday to make the pandemic-era outdoor dining program a permanent part of the city, with some restrictions, according to the Office of New York City Mayor Eric Adams. The city instituted the outdoor dining program in 2020 under the administration of Adams’ predecessor, Bill de Blasio, to assist the struggling restaurant industry during the height of the pandemic. Under the new bill, however, roadway dining structures such as outdoor sheds will need to be removed during the winter. Sidewalk dining will be allowed with a permit all year-round, according to a statement from the city council. The investment bank's chief economist, Jan Hatzius, cited a slew of better-than-expected economic data in a research report released Monday. The chief economist cited resilient U.S. economic activity, saying second-quarter GDP growth was tracking at 2.3%. The rebound in consumer sentiment and unemployment levels falling to 3.6% in June also added to Goldman's optimism.

The properties are largely concentrated in the New York City area, including several large apartment buildings in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. Other buildings are located in Maryland, Massachusetts, Texas and other states, Nuveen said on Tuesday. The portfolio includes developable land and existing buildings in need of rehabilitation that could eventually produce an additional 8,000 low-income apartments, Nuveen said.

This happens for very small droplets, such as a fine mist, or just after a rain shower when the air is just moist. You need very small water droplets in order for a rainbow to form. If you are flying a little above the cloud cover, keep a lookout for the small shadow of your plane on the clouds. The clouds are tiny water droplets, so chances are you may see a small circle of color around the shadow of the airplane.

JPMorgan Chase is abandoning a hybrid attendance policy it adopted during the pandemic and requiring executives to return to the office. On Wednesday, JPMorgan, the nation's largest bank by assets, said it will now mandate that all managing directors come to the office five days a week. In 2021, he wrote in his annual note to shareholders that he envisioned many JPMorgan employees returning to the office full-time, while allowing for exceptions.
